Sheryl M. Howard
joined Evans & Clesi as a Senior Trial Attorney in February 2001.
Sheryl was appointed in 2004 by the Louisiana Supreme Court
to serve as Judge Pro Tempore in Civil District Court, Division "M"
for a six-month term. Prior to joining the firm, she spent nine years as an in-house
attorney for one of the largest insurance companies in the country.
During that time, she tried more than 100 cases and received awards by
the client for outstanding trial results. She has also tried cases
involving catastrophic injuries with significant client exposure. She
also handles general civil, corporate, and business interruption
cases.
Sheryl was born in New Orleans and
earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Louisiana State
University in 1985 and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Louisiana State
University in 1991. She was a member of the 1990-91 Robert Lee Tullis
Moot Court Board at LSU and competed in the Frederick Douglass Moot
Court Competition. She was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1991
and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana
Association of Defense Counsel and the New Orleans Association of
Defense Counsel. |
