H. James Parker
has been a Trial Attorney with Evans & Clesi
since September 1998 and became a partner in the firm in January 2004.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a trial attorney practicing
insurance defense at other local law firms. James practices in both
state and federal court and has argued several cases at the appellate
level. His primary areas of practice are casualty and insurance
defense litigation. He also handles general civil, workers
compensation, business interruption and corporate litigation.
James was born in Jefferson,
Louisiana and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and
Criminology from Drury College in Springfield, Missouri in 1986. He
attended Loyola University Law School in New Orleans where he obtained
a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1993. He was a member of the Jefferson
Library Institute, Inc. from 1998 to 2000, where he served as Vice
President from 1999 to 2000 and as interim President in 2000. James is
a member of the New Orleans, Jefferson and Louisiana State Bar
Associations as well as the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
He is also a member of the American Bar Association and Federal Bar
Association. |
