Darren G. Wells
became a Trial Attorney with Evans & Clesi in December 2000. Prior to
joining the firm, Darren was an Assistant District Attorney with the
Orleans Parish District Attorney’s office where he prosecuted 33 jury
trials and approximately 100 judge trials. He then became an Assistant
City Attorney with the New Orleans City Attorney’s Office in 1996,
where he was a Trial Attorney assigned to the Civil Litigation Defense
Division.
Darren was born in New Orleans and
graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans in 1986 with a
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism. In 1993, he earned a
Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law wherein he was
one of only three students to receive a first-of-its-kind joint
certification degree certifying the study of both the common and civil
law curriculums. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot
Court Staff and a semi-finalist in the Freshman Intramural Moot Court
Competition. In 1992, Darren was a member of Loyola’s fall National
Moot Court Team.
Darren was admitted to the
Louisiana State Bar in 1993 and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar
Association and the American Bar Association. |
